KEATON

WE had a primary activity, so Keaton dressed up in Lehi attire---robe and hand towel for the head is the best I could do. I was in charge of the station where Nephi broke his bow. So at home I climbed a ladder and cut off some of the branches from the neighbors tree and made some bows and arrows. I was a little shocked at how easy they were to make and how far the arrows shot. They worked way better than any toy store one and best of all it was free to make.

Keaton is a little obsessed with people smoking, always pointing it out and telling them it is bad. Chris took him to a dive shop and a man inside had a cigarette in his mouth, but not lit. Keaton isn't afraid to talk to anyone so Keaton asked him why he had the cigarrette and that it was bad for him. So the man got a little closer to Keaton and started talking to him, still with the cigarette in his mouth and while it was dangling, Keaton grabbed the cigarette and ran outside of the store to throw it away. He is not shy. I thinked that shocked the man. I wish I was there, but I can't stop laughing just thinking of it. It only takes one man or in this example one boy to help change the world.

Brotherly Love

We went to the Childrens Museum in Pasadena a few months ago and the boys loved the tandem bike. It was so cute to see them enjoy that together. At home they both have their own bikes and Keaton, my nascar driver is always wanting to crash into someone and Xander loves teasing Keaton Keaton was rocking Xander at home and singing "Rock a by Baby". Xander would get up to reposition himself and then sit back down on Keatons lap. I love it when they play with each, without fighting.

All About the Boys

I was down and out and it extended into the weekend, so Chris had the boys all to himself. On a side note he is the best FATHER ever, he loves playing with the boys and is so good with them.

They went to the strawberry festival in Oxnard and Chris scored a great deal on the strawberries. Any berry around our house is much better than candy, so they go quick, but I was able to make 2 pies and 3 jars of jam. We are in strawberry heaven right now.

The rest of the time they enjoyed swimming and everything is much funner with Daddy.

Xander is a fish and he doesn't want any help in the pool. With his floaties he is all over swimming in the pool by himself. I can't wait until near the end of summer and see how well he can swim without it, he has picked it up very quick.

Keaton swims the width of the pool all the time and loves finding the rings under the water. He can hold his breath for a really long time.

This is how we roll around here, after swimming the boys strip down and Keaton will lay his towel on the warm cement and wrap himself up and Xander follows suit. My boys have no shame running around butt naked.

These are our fun towels, I wish I had a video so you could hear Xander growling like a lion and Keaton is doing ribbit sounds like a frog. Never a dull moment with 2 fun and active boys.

Boating

It was a beautiful day in sunny CA so we decided to head down to Long Beach and take the Zodiac around the harbor. It was a blast. Xander had mixed feelings about the whole boat ride in the ocean, but he loved the motor. Keaton loved every bit of it, but held on the whole time. It was a nice relaxing day and we went by a cruise shipe going out, which I told Chris not to get too close because I was afraid the wake would knock us over. Yes, I am ignorant because there was hardly any wake next to the cruise line. You just feel a little tiny when you are in a rubber raft in the ocean. Of course I am always nervously on the look out for sharks any time I am in the ocean, especially after the great white shark attack in SD. Everything was safe and sound. It was really choppy heading back to the dock, but we had no worries because Chris was the captain. Now I just can't wait until we get a ski boat, but priorities first, a house.

When Keaton isn't whining, he cracks me up. He is such a talker. So one of the latest ones, is we were in the pool and he starts telling me a story that he is "Scuba K" and I am "Ariel" and there is a sea witch in the deep end.(Why are there always sea monsters in the deep end?) So we went out to rescue a princess from the sea witch and we put her in jail. Keaton is a great story teller, he is so dramatic with every word that comes out of his mouth.

Off the boat and the boys are nice and warm, especially Xander in my sweater. Xander couldn't resist the water when we went to load the boat and he took off running down the ramp, I wasn't quite quick enough or prepared for that so he got all his warm clothes wet.

Work Zone

Now this was a hard days work, well not a day, but at least an hour and I didn't even do half of it. Remind me not to buy a fixer up house. Dad and I were scraping the acoustic that is 40 + years old. I got down and dirty with Dad and I realized really quick that I don't like this kind of work. Do you like my styling sunglasses, I am quite the trend setter. they were a pair Grandma had laying around and they worked great keeping the ceiling out of my eyes.
